Thalaivi is an upcoming Indian biopic film based on the life of J. Jayalalithaa, the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Directed by A. L. Vijay, the film stars Kangana Ranaut as Jayalalithaa, alongside Arvind Swami, Prakash Raj, Madhoo, and Bhagyashree in supporting roles.
The story starts with Jayalalithaa as a young girl, living with her mother and grandmother in the suburbs of Madras. Growing up as a child artist, she soon finds herself in the middle of the film industry. She eventually starts acting in critically acclaimed movies like Adimai Penn, Sri Raghavendrar and more.
Meanwhile, she also develops a political interest and joins the party of the then Chief Minister, M. G. Ramachandran, who soon becomes her mentor. Jayalalithaa rises in the ranks of the party and is soon made the Propaganda Secretary.
When M.G.Ramachandran passes away, Jayalalithaa is chosen as the leader of the party and subsequently becomes the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. She goes on to become one of the most
